County Fair

This week was our County Fair, and I mean - week!! We don't get too involved yet, but around here the fair starts on Tuesday and isn't over till Sunday. Here's a Sample Schedule -

Wednesday - Weigh ins, Playday (kids rodeo), exhibit entries
Thursday - Market shows, Futurity
Friday - Showmanship, Ranch Rodeo, team roping, horse roping
Saturday - Rodeo, Livestock sale (7pm), horse roping, Parade
Sunday - Ship livestock, Rodeo, Racemeet

Anyway, if you're in 4-H, you're there all week long. We even get out of school all week.

Our kids participated in the rodeo events, - We had a rough day, missed our patterns. They all had fun though, the girls went faster than they'd gone before, too bad we botched the patterns. The competition here is pretty steep and we need more practice, but they're having fun and all their friends are there so that's all they care about!!

Riley's stick horse barrels - He had the pattern down perfect at home - then we hit the "arena".

Go to the inside!!!!

Layce trots home in the Stake race. Last year I had to lead her through the patterns, this year she went all by herself, and managed to hit a trot!! She was so excited!

Joslynn "running" the barrels. She looks good here, but missed the next barrel. She managed to gallop home without applying the brakes which is a new milestone!! Now we just need to let go of the saddle horn!!

THE MORNING AFTER!!

Hey, it looks great to me. I can't give any advice since I am just figureing it out myself. It really looks like your kids are doing great in the rodeo stuff. Are you gonna do 4-h stuff? Its fun..you ought to!
